The Richmond Working Men’s Club (RWMC) in Christchurch was constructed as a mixed-use facility containing social hall, library, pool area, bar, restaurant and squash courts. The visual appeal of the complex sets off the area with not only the unique origami shaped exterior but the shimmering Middle Bronze tone that it emits throughout the days changing light. The depth of the fine mica metallic 3 Layer PVDF topcoat creates many different tones to the varying hues of the project. This is certainly a very unique and eye pleasing architectural structure which transitions throughout the day. Complimented by full height glazing and perforated bronze soffits the combination of mixed materials and finishes work so well in providing interest to the complex.
